Bought many many things from BB, at least in the 30's or 40's on
rebates, and log what goes out. Not once have I not gotten the rebate.
I'd suspect your mail service or your not having everything exactly
right or postmarked in time (sometimes are very short on leeway) before
I'd suspect them. Or else your handwriting is so abominable that they
can't tell where to send it..
Exactly how many rebates have you sent off for from them before you
trash them? Not from the manufacturer or other companies or ones where
'I must have sent that off' but where you have copies and it was to Best
Buy and you know for sure you never got a check back, and didn't just
forget about putting it in the bank? Between myself and two friends who
get the Best Buy loss leaders after Sunday lunch, not a single failure
on the rebates in the couple of years we've been doing it. Easily over
100 rebates by now, I've done 5 in a week at times.
"No rebate is ever paid in only 6-8 weeks!" That statement alone
makes me think you're spouting off general wisdom and haven't done any
rebates from Best Buy at all. Anyone who's done even one or two knows
they're fast. Can't say the same for ones that are manufacturer's
rebates, but the one's through the Best Buy Rebate Center are among the
fastest from anyone. Only thing I can remember off hand that was much
faster was Logitech, I don't think it was even 2 weeks before I had the
check in hand..
