Yes you can just fdisk and format and sys. Just make sure you get
the latest bios.

Not really. All the stuff is already on the bottom of the
computer already. the Maintenence Disk is only if the internal parts of
the computer is changed. This doesn't include anything you can get to
without using a screwdriver or circuitboards for that matter.
