is the LCD not working, or just the LCD illumination? with the machine on,
shine a flashlight at the screen at different angles to see if you can see any
characters/images on the screen. if you can, then the LCD is fine, but the
lamp is toast. from my experience, this is no big deal. my screen went out
on my 755ce and a techie friend replaced the lamp for nothin'.
