Just put your OS on a relataively small FAT32 partition (say, one gig), and break the rest into NTFS for programs and data.
I tried Linux; it's still sorta crude like early OS/2 but in a neat kind of way.

Hi everybody,
I'm a new member of the list. I am a fortunate (and happy) owner
of a ThinkPad a20p, PIII 750, 128mb, 20G, DVD, etc. It runs Win2k with
fat32.
Now, I have a question. I would like to use NTFS. I know that
hybernation does not work with NFTS, so does anyone has suggestions for
the best rapport FAT32/NTFs (and, maybe someday, Linus)?
thank you,
Francesco Logozzo
