The days of the extension up to 5 years are apparently over, regardless of what
you might find in the twbook.pdf or other documents, such as warranties
extendable to 5 years for 570 and 600 series machines.

The only upgrades available nowadays for Thinkpads are extending the warranty on
systems that originally came with 1 year of coverage to either 2 or 3 years of
EZServe coverage or changing to onsite service for 1, 2 or 3 years.

Systems that shipped with 3 year EZServe warranties can be upgraded to onsite
service for 2 or 3 years, that's it. No extensions.

Any Servicepac purchased runs concurrently from the date of purchase. You can

If anyone knows of differing information, I'd love to hear about it. Adding 2
years of EZServe coverage to the fleet for a few hundred per machine might be a
good investment.

Yeah, it may suck at times, but it beats what's in second place hands down! ;-)
