offers both online and telephone support for its LS-120s.

Also, on the IBM site but not for A21, I found:

"LS120 or CD-ROM drives not recognized by BIOS/EFI (loose connection)
Reseat IDE cable and power cable
Ensure that BIOS setup has these devices enabled "
