Just happened to think of something . . .

Those sprayed truck bed liners, 'round here the brand name's "Rhino
Liners".

The lining (altgough not as thin as needed for a laptop) is fairly thin
but too rough. It is however a rubberish material. Wonder if some expert
in that field could thin the application material and smooth it for
something like a laptop lid?

I'd also be interested in hearing whether the lid on these older
thinkpads can be recoated (I have a 600E). Does anyone know the
composition of this material? It appears to be a rubberised plastic, or
plasticised rubber? :)
