i have a friend who was involved in the development of that finish..
not in the chemistry aspect, but in the cosmetic aspect..
next time i chat with him, i'll ask..
as far as i recall, it was a special coating.. very classy..
a good auto paint shop might be able to reproduce it, if sufficiently
motivated ($$)..
the same material as used on the new "rubber" bumpers but flat, not glossy..
the peach fuzz feel is not easy to achieve, i was told, some years ago..
