Assuming you have Win2K, Win9x, or WinME: get into Device Manager, find
any pertinent drivers under the 'Sound' category, then remove them.
Restart Windows and you should be prompted to re-install all of them.
Not sure what hardware you have, but if it's a laptop you might need to
follow the instructions from your manufacturer (like from the ThinkPad
device driver matrix) to install them in the correct order and method.
