I would not do this unless the (a) TP is plugged into a UPS, and (b) I
really trusted my power brick (i.e., I wouldn't
use an old brick with the common iffy stress-relief connection).
Does this work for all thinkpads? Can it be done as well off other bootable
devices (eg, a pc-card HD or bootable
CD)? Also, where did you learn about this?
