XP is a good OS, so far as i can tell..
but the owner (gates) is apparently still as arrogant as ever..
and still set on a course to own the world..

so i sure hope apple does port their OS to the intel based machines..
choice is always good..

Makes me hope someone convinces Jobs to release Max OS X for Intel.

For an interesting read, see:
http://www.infoworld.com/articles/op/xml/02/02/18/020218opfoster.xml

One need only replace "HP" with "IBM" or "Thinkpad" for this article to be
very
topical to the list.

As a subscriber to MSDN I'm not really effected by this latest decision by
M$
to
limit, if not make impossible, the receipt of recovery CDs from the various
manufacturers. But on general principle, if I'm forced to pay the M$ tax
when
I
purchase a new Thinkpad, then by God I want a COMPLETE retail release of the
OS
on CD!

When did having your OS on CD and also having it loaded on your computer
suddenly mean that you now have TWO copies of the OS????

That's the tack being taken by M$ as the excuse du jour for pressuring the
manufacturers to not ship recovery CDs with their systems!

Somebody in Redmond needs their Ritalin prescription renewed.

Regards,

James
