Not sure whether the warranty will be of any use in this case, but you can
probably fix it yourself. You need to take it apart (just follow the
instructions in the hardware maintenance manual,
http://www.pc.ibm.com/qtechinfo/MIGR-4793QA.html). You need to push a
small protuding metallic part back inside the hinge. This has worked for
me, at least.
