I still have a 701C and when it's not serving as a door stop I sometimes use it to run OS/2 (and even NT).
True it doesn't have a CD but I use a Trantor Parallel Port interface with an external CD and it has loaded
Version 4 of OS/2 without any problem. BTW, it also works with Warp e-business server. Using the parallel
port CD it has only taken about 40 minutes to install OS/2. The fix pack installs are pretty fast.
