Any thoughts or opinions on the following would be appreciated (one
question asked before with no response, the other brand new):
Firstly, 48GB 48GH (sic) Travelstars are affordable here in the UK at
the moment (~200 UKP). Is there a consensus as to whether 5,400 RPM
notebooks drives are worth it?
I currently have a 30GB Hitachi drive in my A30 and liking the best
(or nearly the best - I suppose the new 60GB count as that) am very
tempted to upgrade and use the Hitachi as a second HDD in the
Ultrabay.
Secondly, there is inconsistent back lighting on my 1400x1050 tft. My
friend's Packard Bell (1024x768) notebook has nice consistent back
lighting. Should I be worried? It is generally unobtrusive, but annoys
the hell out of me when I have Word maximised, and to be honest I
expected better from IBM.
(If it wasn't for the prospect of getting a replacement screen with
dead pixel(s) I would change it in a flash.)
Any comments would be appreciated...
David
