the 5400 RPM drives are worth it..
the backlighting on your thinkpad should be pretty even..
i have had some with slight inconsistencies at the corners and the edges,
but not center screen..
probably caused by pressure on the edge of the display panel assembly being
'pinched" by the top cover and display bezel assembly..
so far, in my limited experience with swapping displays, i have always
received a better or equal display to the one i sent in for repair..
