It's linear flash. You'd have to find a driver, if you can, on the original manufacturer's website. The driver would provide a pseudo-disk interface so your machine could write to it. Even if you get it to work, it'd still be way slow and you can't boot from it in any case.
Find a friend who has a Newton and give it to him. He'll be able to use it.
