I always thought that 6.4 GB was the max in the 701.
The 7.5 GB size has been available for some time
(e.g., the IBM Travelstar IC25N007ATDA04-0, which uses
Integrated lead suspension (ILS), not FDB. It is in the 48GH,
30GN & 15GN series). Can anybody else confirm that the 701 can
use 7.5 GB drives? Or would that be only the newer FDB drives?
Either would be exciting news for us retroTPers.
