I have a T21 2647 BHG. I recently bought an Ultrabay 2000 DVD drive and
have downloaded the relevant firmware update required from the IBM site. I
have an Ultrabay 2000 floppy drive that came with the machine. To complete
the firmware update it is necessary to boot the machine with the update
floppy in the Ultrabay, the obvious problem being that with the floppy
Ultrabay inserted in the machine the DVD drive won't be detected! Other than
buying a USB floopy drive is there any way around this?
