I have a headphone and Andre mic booster that I thought used to work with my
600E. I have W2K. Now, when i plug it into my thinkpad, the system shuts off
completely. I cannot even turn on the system with the headphone and mic
booster plugged in. Even if I get it to turn on the bios reports error
00178. When I run a test of the devices, everything is ok. I have to unplug
the headphone and the mic booster to get the system to come up. I am totally
puzzled. I have found out that just plugging in the headphone does not
present this behavior. But, with the mic booster the behavior is same in a
different 600E. Is something up with the mic booster. Any help will be
appreciated. Thanks. Trey
