I've installed a new battery and will let it go through several use/recharge
cycles as generally recommended. The IBM manual, however, is not clear on
one point: Is the battery charging if the AC adapter is connected, whether
or not the computer is turned on? The battery (or the machine?) has a
circuit that stops when fully charged, whether the computer is turned on or
off, correct?
