Hi again, folks.
Since my first post here a couple of weeks ago (thanks to the folks who
suggested ways to resurrect my 755 batteries, btw), I have scrounged
together a 760XL and a Dock II as well.
I would like to put an IDE CD-RW in the docking station, but I
understand I need a 46H5994 IDE Conversion Card to make this work with
the 760XL. (I am certainly having no luck getting it to work without
one!)
But if I purchase and install the IDE converter (which I presume
somehow forces the Dock II IDE adapter to use the secondary IDE channel
to avoid conflicts with the internal devices), can I also continue to
use the Dock with the 755, or would I have to install or remove the
converter every time I swapped the 755 for the 760 and vice versa?
Thanks in advance,
Jon Etkins
