Dead battery

My old laptop battery (560x) was not charged for a few months as my LCD was
broken and now it refuses to get charged...

It there anything I can do to get to charge again... like put some high
voltage somewhere or join some of the pins for a few second ?

Anything I could try to get it going again ?
