It left all my installed programs and settings alone, and assuming that XP
will do the same thing that I did with W2k, that would be the only hitch
that I could see - it might leave the AOL-screwed-up settings alone. In my
600X-to-T23 move, I was absolutely determined that I was NOT going to
reload everything, so I was trying everything anyone suggested. However, I
use the second HDD method of backup, so I was always able to get back to
square one to try the next suggestion. I wasn't layering one failed
attempt on top of another.
But, like I said, it ain't working now, so what do you have to lose as long
as the data is backed up?
