Thinkpaders -
I've been setting up my new T23 (Win2000, built-in Ethernet daughter card, no firewire). So far, I haven't been able to put it into standby or hibernation. I get this pop-up:
"System Standby Failed
The device driver for the 'Intel (R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection' device is preventing the machine from entering standby. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver."
I have updated both the ethernet driver and the power management driver from IBM's site. No change.
The obvious thing is to stop the ethernet card, but a) I wouldn't assume I would have to manually do this, and b) I'm not even sure how to do it in Win2000.
Any ideas?
(Love the machine so far. But the migration process from my Win95-based machine of 3+ years has been taxing!)
Thanks in advance,
