James, thank you so much for posting this URL. Nosing around the IBM
site (as usual without a clue about the subject but determined to
avoid attending to my own work at any cost) I saw the 770Z's processor
described as follows:
"Pentium II 366 MHz /L2 512 FRU10L1260 "
This sounded like a mythical critter to me, with a cache of that size,
and Intel's mobile processor list seemed to corroborate that, but I
couldn't find another IBM reference that said 256 rather than 512 for
the 770Z.
I feel rather silly for never having found this reference book before,
but it sure is great to have it now1
