<<And, unfortunately, that doesn't always work. I endeavored to run Linux
on this T23 as my only OS. I maintained a T22 with Windows for when I
needed to use it because something wouldn't work on the T23. That lasted
about two months before I formatted the hard drive in frustration and
installed XP Pro. Frankly, for this died-in-the-wool Unix guy, I've been
very pleased with XP. It hasn't crashed, yet. And I use it constantly.
Sorry, but right now, I think the only real option is a Mac (but then,
of course, you're likely running MS Office, anyway). If Mac OS X ran on
this Thinkpad, I'd probably be running it. But, I can't deal with the
trackpad or the Apple keyboard feel on a Powerbook.>>

Actually since OS X is based on free BSD you could probably recompile it to
be compatible with the x86 platform. That would be alot of work though. Not
something one person could do. Definately something many people would like.
Once I get finished reading this C++ book i could help in a community project
to run OS X on an x86 CPU.
