I forgot to say, almost all my data files are in C:\DATA which I
(a) backup to connected.com regularly, and (b) I used Vice Versa to
sync this (on my desktop) to my ThinkPad's C:\DATA (update & prune
target). So I've also got that as an immediate backup.

The TP drive is a little too small to dupe all the mp3s (ripped
from my CDs) so those are on C:\DATA-SOUNDFILES on my desktop, and
not synced to the notebook.
