I recently purchase a TP 600e off lease; a Selectabase was part of the package.
Win 98 is the OS.
My problem has to do with access to the Ultrabay cdrom. When running the
600e in a stand alone mode, the TP correctly sees and provides access to the
Ultrabay (press the button and the drive tray opens).
However, when the TP is placed in the Selectabase and started up, it does
not see the Ultrabay; consequently, there is no access and the drive tray
will not open.
I have two questions:
1. Why would the Selectabase disable support to the Ultrabay?
2. Assuming the Selectabase I have is not defective, is there a solution
that will provide access to the Ultrabay when the laptop is placed in the
Selectabase?
