Well... right, I know it didn't do any kind of extensive testing; after all
it, finishes the test in what, less than a minute? =) It just seems like an
oversight that it wouldn't even look at the SMART status and take note of
it, because it would be so simple to implement, it's just a hex flag stored
by the drive. Besides, IBM was one of the companies that developed the
original technology to make SMART possible...
