Hello all
I bought a 64 MB RAM chip for my 560x but it wouldn't recognize it.
I went through the IBM troubleshooting site and got to "disable parity
checking"
Unfortunately the 560X doesn't let you disable parity check in BIOS
set-up.
I know that the memory chip that worked in my 560X is non-parity so I
deduce that the SMS chip has parity.
So here's the deal I'd like to believe it's good and I'd like to find it
a home.
If you've got a 560 or 560E (not a 560x) let me know and I'll send you
the card.
If it works send me $15, if not toss it or give it away.
-- Andrew King Ann Arbor Michigan technology is the answer, what was the question? The card has "SMS" silkscreened on it. Each of the 8 chips has this screened on them: Japan C004 9831 6NN 5165165LTT6
two labels are stuck on two of the chips: 4064001G6/ 411C and A011313 64MB
