Keep pursuing this with IBM. If they can't tell you exactly what it was
that they found - not necessarily the contents, but what visually made
them suspicious - then they have no business hassling you. You should
be able to speak to someone who can address the issue to tell you
exactly what raised the alarm or else get your warranty reinstated.
Send a letter to Lou Gerstner's office.
If cat hair is a offensive or biological hazard then I'm afraid there
are a bunch of people that are SOL with EZ Serve.
How ridiculous.
