We get a number with spills in them too, usually
coffee or Coke but even water will ruin whatever it
gets into. If it was contained to the keyboard then
the keyboard usually needs to be replaced but if it
ran down into the main board the whole unit is usually
scrapped.
Not to be insensitive but I don't see what all the
fuss is about. If there is a spill in it, no matter
what it is, wouldn't that void the warranty anyway?
They seem to have used an unfortunate term for
describing the problem and maybe should have said it
was a spill and they weren't fixing it due to customer
abuse. If they won't fix it due to the spill then send
it somewhere else and save a lot of annoyance.
