My $.02..

Im using OE 6 and the only time I see the paperclip is when user of 'linux'
type mail clients alter their message with the "begin" bug as the first word
in their message body or when there is an actuall attachment.

A free fix for this is grab Mozilla for windows. It nice stablee and is a
full featured browser, mail, web composer and even a chat program.

If your interested hitup http://www.mozilla.org, it is a remarkably easy to
use browser/mail/news reader and not as suseptable to the spread of viri as
OE.
