It is my understanding from a long ago conversation with an IBM tech
center, that Thinkpads cannot boot from PC Card connections, LSL drives,
Zip Drives, or USB connections because of the way the controller system
is set-up. They can only boot from floppy or IDE-type connectors. Don't
know if that is true of the latest models such as the 30 series.
