I have 2 701's. I like the little door stops. But I am having a bad time
with the floppy printer port with both of them.

During boot up, While windoze is loading, Fn F1 brings up the cmos.
There it shows that the "Parallel/Diskette port is assigned a port, IRQ
Etc.

After Windoze loads and is up and running, If you go back into cmos, the
port is Disabled. If you shut down Windoze and go to a dos prompt, the
port is still disabled. If you reboot, the port is on until Windoze
loads and turns it off.

In dos, if I hot swap/install the FDD and run a Dir on A:, it fires up
and gives me a Dir. BUT, The cmos still shows that the port is still
disabled. But I can not access a printer.

All that to ask this, How do I get the port to stay on?
Ron.
