Hello,
The IBM PCMCIA Hard Drive Setup programs are almost 10 years old,
and would work best with an operating environment from that era.
Have you tried booting your ThinkPad from a Microsoft MS-DOS or
IBM PC-DOS boot diskette loading the PCMATADD.SYS device driver
from the IBM PCMCIA Hard Drive Setup? I think it would work best
in that environment.
If you have a recent vintage ThinkPad it is possible the program
does not recognize its modern CardBus controller. If IBM or the
controller manufacturer doesn't provide a Card & Socket Services
the only thing I can think of would be to try an older ThinkPad.
Regards,
Aryeh Goretsky
