you obviously never used or had a NEW 755CE..
at the time, it was a highly prized thinkpad, with the best keyboard
available anywhere..
not MY judgement, but the judgement of every user everywhere..
when the 760 arrived with a really bad keyboard, due to several problems i
will go into later, if asked, many many owners and users complained
bitterly..!
the 750 series keyboard was one of many fine features of the 750 series,
from the beginning to the end..
i was there when this was a new thinkpad and i used several..
if you had the experience of a new 755CE then i DOUBT you would say what you
have said.. :-)
the "shims" comment indicates that you are using old and tired keyboards..
you are working with a well worn antique...
