Ron,

If you're using the port replicator, you'll have to go into the setup
program and mess with the IRQs etc for the port replicator settings -
there will be a different set of settings from the ones used for the
"standalone" profile. No DOS drivers needed. But if you have the special
701 printer cable, you should be able to use the same port that's used
for the floppy drive - the one on the left side of the machine.
