Hi,

I have recently purchased a used TP 600e, PII 300Mhz, 196MB ram, Windows
98se (model 2645-3AU). It's running very well and I'm really enjoying it.

More recently, I bought a new Toshiba CDROM / CDRW / DVD internal drive for
use in the UltraSlimBay.

The CD-ROM and CD-RW portion works fine but, the after installing DVDExpress
(and the IBM update) DVD movies are shuttering and the voice is not in-sync
with the movie.

I was ready to send the DVD drive back and happened to arrive at this user
board which has Great information.

It's been mentioned that a Margi card is used to assist in playing DVD's on
slower process speeds like a PII 300.

Could someone step me though what I need to do to get DVDs to play properly
on this TP?

If I get a Margi card, do I need DVDExpress?

Will the Margi card communicate with the DVD drive automatically? Or is
there other Margi software that needs to be installed?

Does it matter which Margi "DVD-To-Go" is used?

I've seen some Dell Margi "DVD-TO-GO" cards for sale. Will they work Ok in a
ThinkPad?

Thanks for any help,
Al Nelson
