If your previous OS was/ is working fine...Image the drive .
It will save you days / weeks of getting things going again.
IBM /Hitachi has free cloning software ..even does NTFS .
Can't remember the name ...and it's a pig, ie will NOT fit on a floppy but works .
Just paw around their site.
Xcopy32 /c/ h e /r /y works fine for win 98 ..not sure about other OS'es .
No need to copy the MBR .
( you do need to Fdisk / and format the new drive though ;-}
