RE: [Thinkpad] Adding wifi to X22

It was installed by ibm. The mini card is burried inside the computer. I
suspect there is no other way to check the connection without opening up
the computer? I think you are right because I've taken 3 different
cards to 3 different access points and they all get good signals except
for the intel card. I'm not sure I want to drive back to the service
center. The Ibm access software is awesome and I can use that with any
network card.

Stupid question, as I know next to nothing about the wifi abilities of
the T23, but could it be that the antenna is not connected? I am making
an assumption here, that the T23 has an antenna like my A31p does, which
is on the sides of the display.

Not having the antenna connected means that it would work, but is nearly
'deaf'. I would check that out. Even if the connections look good,
take them off and connect them again.

RF is weird. I've seen connections which have looked OK, but magically
weren't, and reseathing things made a huge difference.

Anyway, just a thought. The range of quality of these wifi cards is
pretty amazing. Lots of places have little idea of how to deal with
microwave RF.
