Gregg,
             I've had good results with both WinDVD and the Mediamatics
DVDExpress. Win DVD has a slightly "slicker" interface IMO. PowerDVD is a
great program but the 600E probably doesn't have the necessary "horsepower"
to smoothly operate as you're finding out. Make sure your DVD hardware is
using DMA if supported and keep background programs to a minimum if
possible. Another option is a hardware decoder via Margi...they're cheap
right now on eBay and work great. Hope this helps.
