First, welcome back.

That exchange went too fast for me to follow.

You start out by saying FAT32 is inferior to NTFS when creating or
manipulating files over 4GB.

Then EPB recounts how he has problems with movie files which he resolved
by splitting them to less than 4GB and he asked whether this was because
of a problem with his file systems.

And then you replied as above.

The problem I'm having in following along was that EPB already said the
two systems he had these problems with, the 600X and the Sony Picturebook,
were both already using NTFS.

Did those NTFS file systems really reach some 4GB upper limit and, if so,
in what way is NTFS superior in creating and manipulating files over 4GB.

Tony
