Are you the brave type, willing to open the laptop up? If so, I'd
do that, and find the video out, and start reseating everything
around the video section. If you can you should try and run the
computer while its apart, so you can tap and tug at things to
see if the video changes at all. I find that really odd: I've never
seen a case of video generation IC failure which didn't kill all
the video, so I'd think that one color go would be more of a
mechanical failure than anything else.
If you figure out what it is, let us know. That is definitely odd.
You might try booting into DOS if you are running Windows, just
to be able to say that you've ruled out some incredibly weird
software problem. I don't think that could happen, but its easy
to boot into DOS and see.
