escaping wincrapXX as you so colorfully allude is difficult
for many..
i, and others, must be productive with limited time..
and relearning unix (now linux, solaris, et al) is a rather
steep and time consuming curve..
so we stick with winduhhs95,98,ME,2k,XP et al not because we
WANT to further enrich mr gates but because while a think
the guy is a pompous and pretentious but very very lucky
bast... uhmm, bum, he DID do a few things more or less
right.. and one of those is he got the software vendors to
adhere to some standards.. :-)
