YES..
there is a small door (smaller of two) in the bottom..
CAREFULLY remove it..
inside there is the CMOS battery and two solder pads..
be SURE you pick the right pads, turn off the 701, short the
pads and keep the short in place while you power it on..
(you will need help doing this)

after this the power on password should be gone...

Inherited a TP701CS that works. Cute little devil, but this
one has a power-on password that is unknown to me or the
person who passed it to me (suppose that's why I got it??).
Is there a way to disable the power-on password like there
is on the 600 series? I downloaded the HMM but can't find
anything about passwords.
