I recently spent a week on a 500 mile ride in Wisconsin with about 800
other recreational riders. I was amazed to see around a half dozen riders
working with laptops during evenings. I have no idea how they packed their
bags; everyone gets to take one duffel which is transported on a semi,
which is not very carefully unloaded by volunteers who arrive at the day's
destination early (not a problem you will face, apparently). If you like,
I can query the ride's discussion list and let you know of any responses.
