Nope. Slot 1 CPUs are desktop processors. You cannot fit a desktop
PII processor into a laptop. Especially not whn it comes to a slot
packaged CPU the size of a remote control unit.

MMC1 up to a Celeron 466. A 333 should be avaialble for $30 on eBay. A
400Mhz MMC1 will quote at $99, which is borderline insanity. A better way
to upgrade is to upgrade to a 600E mobo like how Bruce Markowitz described
and use the MMC2 series Mobile CPUs. A 466Mhz Celeron MMC2 will run for
less than $20 on eBay.
