Re: [Thinkpad] Inverter for T23 Needed

Another solution is an Auto/Air converter, which goes directly from 12V
to the 16V required by most TPs. I'm not familiar with the T23, but they
exist for all popular laptops. On eBay, it will cost you about as much
as an inverter, but will be a lot smaller, lighter and plug directly
into your machine.

If you fly, some airlines now have a seat-side power connection. The
connection is different from the standard 12V cigar lighter, but the
converter accepts both inputs.

The $25 eBay #3425553914 is just such a device. It's an "Xtend" brand
that has the airline connector at the end of the cord, which then plugs
into the cigar lighter plug, a better idea for my money (but I suppose
it's really a matter of taste).

It's advertised to fit the 365, 530, 535, 560 machines, but fits my 600E
as well. At "only" 3.5A, it might not charge your T23 battery very fast,
but many on the list have reported success with the 56W adapters
on machines which claim to require 72W adapters. I can't say whether
the output connector fits the T23.

I need an inverter so I can use my T23 in my car or boat.
These vehicles have 12V systems.

Is there a decent quality, inexpensive inverter around?
