I just bought a 770Z, P2 366
Now I note that the "built in" memory is actually in a DIMM slot on the
bottom of the Mobo
So I wonder, IF I replace that with PC100 RAM, can I put a P3 500, or maybe
a faster Celeron?
No speedstep, of course.
BTW, I have an A20M C550
It came with a P3 700 installed, but only ran/recognized as Celeron 550
I assume this is because of the non-speedstep BIOS, it only ran at the
slower speed?
The BIOS update is the same for the Celeron and P3 versions, it chooses the
appropriate file on it's own, so I assume there is no way to force the flash
to the P3 model (which would be neat).
